Marmie's beginning thoughts
It was in January when Andy sent me a picture of a carriage house and recommended that I consider building on their property. That thought stuck in my head and I kept asking myself, "why not?". That was the start of researching the process, discovering ways to make this happen and the beginning of a new chapter... It was time to leave my 4 level townhouse
So after sorting, tossing, packing and selling the house, I moved into Andy and Christy's home (lots of room) to wait until we could build my carriage house.
Seeing the ground breaking is so exciting. Definitely moving ahead and moving up now.

Day 1
Today we began. What started as a wild idea back in January was realized today as the bulldozer dug into the ground for the first time. We first start with excavation for the septic fields and modifications there.
It is exactly 365 days since we first closed on the house to begin digging for the next chapter in this whole ordeal. We started planning and interviewing builders at the end of January and into February. We chose Michael Nash in March, and have been working with them since then.
